There is no retake button, and you cannot restart a test you have finished. That is deliberate: a test everyone could repeat until they were happy would not tell the employer anything.
The decision is the employer's
They commissioned the assessment, so whether you get another attempt is theirs to decide. They can arrange one if they think it is fair.
We cannot override that, and asking us instead will slow it down rather than speed it up.
How to ask for another attempt
Contact the company that invited you, using the details in your invitation email. Be specific and be brief:
- Which test. Name it.
- What happened. "My connection dropped for around ten minutes during the numerical test" is something they can act on. "It went wrong" is not.
- When. The date and roughly the time.
If a technical fault was involved, tell us too, at support@testcandidates.com. We can confirm what our side recorded, which is useful evidence for the employer's decision.
What counts as a good reason
That is the employer's judgement, not ours. In practice, a genuine technical problem or something outside your control is the kind of thing employers do act on. Wanting a better score is not.
If time ran out
Running out of time is a result rather than a fault, so it is not usually grounds for another attempt on its own. If the reason you ran out was technical, say so: that is a different situation and worth raising. See I ran out of time.
Applying again in future
A different role with the same employer is a new assessment, and nothing carries over from this one.
